Doireann “Dori” Linwood O'Draeda was born in Greenville, SC, on January 14, 1951, and passed away peacefully at age 75 in Seneca, SC, on August 21, 2026. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley “Jack” Drawdy, Sr. and the late Nancy Jenness McJunkin. She graduated from Greenville Senior High School, where she was active in both the French and Drama Clubs, and resided in Greenville for her entire adult life.

Dori attended Furman University, earning her degree in Business Administration with minors in Drama and Public Speaking. While at Furman, she performed and created costumes in various theater productions—a passion for design and fashion that stayed with her, as she loved watching Project Runway. Her versatile career reflected her intellect, charm, and poise. She held administrative and financial roles with the Greenville Water System; excelled as a top sales supervisor with MCI Telecommunications; kept operations running seamlessly as the office manager and legal assistant for Dryer Law Offices; and brought her creative mind to Basic Systems, Inc., as both a software support specialist and artistic director. Her exceptional work at MCI earned her memorable travel rewards, including trips to the Biltmore House, Super Bowl, Las Vegas, and London.

Above all her professional accomplishments, Dori was a gentle spirit guided by warmth, optimism, and an endless appreciation for beauty. Proud of her Irish heritage, she found happiness in painting, reading poetry, listening to audiobooks, and enjoying her favorite classical, rock, and Irish music. Gifted artistically, she possessed a striking natural grace—with a lovely complexion, a radiant face, and a warm, beautiful smile. An enthusiastic Ozzy and Dolly fan, Dori had a quick wit and a fun, spirited streak with a deep admiration for strong, hard-headed women. She loved history, her precious Pomeranians (Pushkin, MacCree, Fenn, and Rudy), ordering from DoorDash, watching her Japanese Maple change with the seasons, and filling her Facebook page with everything lovely in nature and life.

Some of her favorite childhood times were spent living with her grandparents, Danny and Granddaddy, and her mother, who affectionately called her "Lindy Lou." Growing up, she cherished playing with her cousins during big family reunions and dressing up her little sister for imaginative photoshoots. In later years, those sweet memories grew to include the warmth of cooking together at Thanksgiving, sharing good wine, endless stories, and ready laughter.

In addition to her parents, Dori was preceded in death by her brother, David Peter Warren Drawdy, and her nephew, Trevor O'Dreada Jones.

Dori’s memory will be forever treasured by her sisters, Erin McJunkin Phillips (Robert) and Dawn Aleta Drawdy; her brother, John Wesley Drawdy, Jr. (Sara Lee); her nieces and nephew, Sally, Ellen, Caitlin, Aisling, Honor, and Tyler; and her beloved grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Caroline, Abigail, June, Veronika, Wesley, Jackson S., Beren, Aman, Levi, and Jackson B.

Dori’s radiant light, gentle soul, joyful spirit, and deep appreciation for nature's beauty will remain with us always. Maireann croí éadrom i bhfad. Bisous, sweet Dori.
