IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edna Hamilton
Clark
September 2, 1945 – February 9, 2026
Edna Hamilton Clark, 80, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life defined by devotion to family,
service to others, and a vibrant presence.
Born on September 2, 1945, in Pikeville, Kentucky, Edna was the beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hamilton.
She built a life rooted in love and commitment, sharing 61 years of marriage with her husband, David Henry Clark.
Together, they created a home filled with encouragement, laughter, and steadfast support.
Edna was a proud and devoted mother to her two children, Allison Clark Conrad and Christopher
Hamilton Clark (Carla). She was an adoring grandmother to Clark Elizabeth Conrad, Christopher
Hamilton Clark Jr., and Noah Clayton Clark, who brought her endless joy and pride.
She is survived by her sisters, Ann McCown Coleman and Juanita Hamilton Blair, and was
preceded in death by her sisters, Georgia Hamilton Taylor and Betty Hamilton Roberts.
Edna lived in Charleston, South Carolina, for more than 25 years, where she worked as a real
estate agent and became a familiar, trusted presence in her community. No matter how busy life
became, she always made time to give back—volunteering enthusiastically for every activity her
children were part of, from school PTA to cheerleading and soccer.
Being involved in their lives was not an obligation to her, but a joy.
In retirement, Edna and David settled at Lake Keowee, where they embraced a slower pace and
the beauty of the outdoors. She loved hiking, visiting with her grandchildren, and cheering on the
Clemson Tigers, especially when surrounded by family.
Edna will be remembered for her generosity, her steady presence, and the deep love she had for
those around her. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the many lives she touched
along the way.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday February 14, 2026 at 2pm at the Samuel J. Cadden
Chapel on the Clemson University campus, 181 Jersey Lane, Clemson, SC 29634.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Leukemia
Brown Funerals - Cremation Society of SC is assisting the family.
