Eloy Ibarra went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and dear friends.
Eloy is survived by his beloved wife, Leyda; his daughters, Emily and Melany; and his son, Eloy Jr. “Bambino.” He also leaves behind his parents, Hildeberto and Romona; his brother, Hildeberto Jr. “Tito”; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him deeply.
Faith and family meant everything to Eloy. He shared his love for the Lord with his children and made it a priority to raise them in faith and fellowship. Eloy regularly brought his family to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and St. Paul Catholic Church. He also encouraged his children to grow in their relationship with the Lord through Little Lambs and youth activities at Utica Baptist Church. More than anything, Eloy wanted his children to know and love the Lord and to remain surrounded by a strong community of faith.
Eloy was known for his generosity and willingness to help others — family, friends, and even strangers. It was not uncommon for him to stop along the roadside to help someone with car trouble. He was always looking for ways to serve and make life easier for others.
Eloy had an amazing work ethic. He worked at Schneider Electric and owned two businesses. He had a passion for lawncare and loved to D.J. He shared these passions with his family by including his children in his jobs whenever possible.
Eloy will forever live on in the beautiful memories shared with family and friends. His legacy of faith, love, generosity, and devotion to family will continue through the lives of his children and all those blessed to know him.
The family will receive visitors on May 29 from 3pm-9pm at Brown Funerals in Seneca, SC. Mass will be held on May 30 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul in Seneca, SC. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
Brown Funerals is assisting the family.
