Gary Barker
Jones
July 26, 1951 – March 12, 2026
Gary Barker Jones, 74, of Annandale, VA passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026 in Seneca, SC, surrounded by his loved ones. Gary was born July 26, 1951 to the late Milton Nathaniel Jones and Ethel Anne Jones.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret (Peg); his three children, Jennie Cooper (Scott), Kim Miller, Gary Jones, Jr.; his grandchildren, Logan Cooper (Heather and Dustin), Sam Miller, Skye Cooper, Maggie Jones and Trae Ballinger; and his two brothers, Thomas (Patty) Jones and Roger Jones. Gary was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who meant so much to so many people.
He shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Peg, and together they built a beautiful life centered around love, family, and hard work. He was a proud father to his three children and spent his life providing for his family in every way possible. His love for them was shown not only in what he gave, but in the example he set every day through his strength, loyalty, and dedication. Gary loved spending time on the golf course, fishing, and creating beautiful things through his woodworking. He had a special gift for building with his hands, and many of the things he made will remain treasured reminders of him for years to come. More than anything, Gary loved being surrounded by the people he cared about. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and his loss will be felt by everyone who knew him.
While his family mourns the loss of him here on earth, they find comfort in knowing he is now at peace in Heaven, reunited with loved ones who went before him and resting in the arms of the Lord. Though he is no longer with us, the things he built with his hands will still be in our homes, and the man who made them will live on in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed.
