Harold Scott Beckhorn, 65, of Pickens, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on December 1, 2025. Born in Somerville, New Jersey, Harold later made South Carolina his home in 2023, where he quickly formed deep connections within his community. He was the beloved son of the late Samuel Beckhorn and Mildred Graybush Ubry, and the cherished stepson of James Ubry, Sr.
He was a devoted and deeply loving father who placed his family at the center of his life. Time spent with family and friends meant everything to him, especially the moments when all of his daughters and grandchildren were together—those were the times that filled his heart with the greatest joy. He was an immensely proud grandfather, and his love for them was evident in everything he did.
Harold touched countless lives across South Carolina through his dedicated involvement with Celebrate Recovery and the Hands & Feet Foundation. Guided by compassion, faith, and a servant’s heart, he consistently gave of himself to uplift others. Harold was never one to sit still —retirement only marked a new chapter of service. He continued to work, volunteer, and extend a helping hand wherever there was a need, living out his faith through action and leaving a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.
He was an avid fisherman but also loved hunting and spending time outdoors. Nature was a place of renewal for him—a setting where he reflected on life and embraced the quiet moments that brought him joy and clarity.
Survivors include his children: Azyamarie Beckhorn; Brittany (Alexander) Berezanski; Kaitlinann (Austin) Blake; and Cara Beckhorn; his grandchildren Arianna, Brayden, Ameyah, Sienna, and Nyx. His brothers: Ralph, Walter, Michael, Richard, and James Ubry, Jr.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Laurie Anne Beckhorn, and his parents.
