James Charles Doyle, born on August 16, 1938, in Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, in Seneca, South Carolina. He was a dedicated family man, accomplished professional, and active member of his community.
A proud alumnus of Bloomfield High School in Michigan, James graduated with the class of 1956 before pursuing further education at the Notre Dame School of Business, from which he graduated in 1960. His professional journey began as a sales representative at the Kendall Company, where he demonstrated remarkable proficiency and commitment. James's career flourished as he ascended to the role of director of marketing and international development, overseeing the Western European, Australian, and United Kingdom markets—a position that reflected his exceptional skills in leadership and innovation.
James was deeply committed to his faith and community. He was a devoted member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and actively engaged with organizations such as the Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus, where he contributed to various charitable efforts and community initiatives.
He leaves behind a loving family that includes his daughter, Sharon Elizabeth, and sons Christopher James and Martin John Doyle. James was also cherished by his niece, Megan (Josh) Dodson, and nephew Charley Welsh. Other survivors include Ace, Claire, and Evelyn. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Christopher Bailey, James, Patrick, and Kelly Doyle, who will remember him fondly for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support.
James was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Elizabeth Welsh Doyle, as well as his parents, John and Florine Doyle of California. His life was a testament to the values of hard work, devotion to family, and service to others, and he will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.
