Ms. Jean Ann Johnson, age 77 of Seneca, S.C. passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026 surrounded by loved ones at Belvedere Commons in Seneca, South Carolina. She was born on January 29, 1948 in Oconee County to the late Clara Johnson and Henry Edward Johnson.
Ms. Johnson was a dedicated school bus driver for the school district of Long Island, New York until her retirement, where she soon after relocated back home to Seneca, S.C.
Ms. Johnson is survived by one son, Keith A. Johnson (Teresa), sisters; Joann Carter, Kimberly M Fling, Elethia Phipps-Lee (Charles), and one brother, James Henry Johnson. She is also survived by grandchildren; Ayanna Henry, Jonathan Bradley, Clara Johnson, Deandre’ Johnson, Chevon Baker (Curtis), Mia Talborn (Rome) and Quintavia Williams. She is also survived by one nephew, Jamie Johnson and three nieces Crystal Scott, Pamatha Carter, Denise Williams (Marcus), Trenace Moon, her eight great-grandchildren and a host of special friends & cousins.
Ms. Jean Ann was preceded in death by her Mother Clara Johnson, Father Henry Edward Johnson, Step-Mother Kaye Johnson, two brothers Michael S. Johnson, and Ricardo Johnson, her two sons, Henry Johnson, and Michael R. Johnson, Grandmother Mae Bell Gibson, two grandchildren; Anthony Holden and Tekeitha Johnson.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday January 21, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church 954 Mt. Olive Church Road West Union South Carolina 29696.
Ms. Johnson will be available for public viewing after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will be at the funeral home from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. to greet friends and family.
Interment will follow immediately after service at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to give special recognition to Linda Brown, Emma Williams, Joann Grant, and Victoria Campbell for their dedication to Ms. Johnson in her final days. We would also like to thank Takeesha Johnson and the Wren Hospice family for their time and dedication during Jean Ann’s final days.
