Johnnie Bomar Cobb, Jr., aged 80, of Seneca, passed away on July 21, 2026. Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Johnnie Bomar Cobb, Sr. and Christen Ramey Cobb.

Johnnie is survived by his cherished children: Tina Shimer, Christine Davis (Shane), Jonathan Cobb (Sandy), Chris Elgin, Zach Cobb (Leann), Jaclyn Cobb, and Katelyn Cobb (Austin). His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Matthew Cobb, Victoria Lawing, McKayla Dickert, Toby Cobb, Dominic Dickert, Brianna Shimer, Cai Frizzell, Gixxie Thomas Cobb, Jamaria Mathis, Gianna Mathis, Kai Winchester, Lamarcus Robinson, Jr., Riley Burrell, Marisa Burrell, Emily Burrell, and Noah Cobb. He is also survived by his dear friend and former wife of 49 years, Barbara Dickert Stone.

He was predeceased by his son Shannon Cobb, sisters Frances Walden "Fran," Margaret Baumagarner, Mary Watkins, and his brother Randy Bond "Randolph."

Johnnie embarked on his career journey at the age of 14 and became a skilled professional in construction, welding, and electrical work. He proudly owned Johnnie Cobb Plumbing and contributed to the construction of notable projects such as the Clemson Tiger Stadium and the Labor and Delivery Wing at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Over the years, he built four homes for his family.

In his leisure time, Johnnie enjoyed gardening, family game nights, scuba diving, deer hunting, and cherished moments with his beloved dog.
