Keith Alan Folger, born on June 5, 1982, in Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, at Cottingham Hospice House. He leaves behind a legacy of creativity, kindness, and humor that touched the lives of many around the globe.

A proud graduate of Brookwood High School in Atlanta, Georgia, class of 2000, Keith embarked on a journey that would showcase his remarkable talents and passions. As the founder and owner of Lucid Illuminations LLC, he dedicated himself to creating innovative weapons and props for live-action roleplay (LARP) communities. His work was not just a profession; it was a testament to his love for storytelling and his commitment to enhancing the experiences of others through immersive play. He was active in the LARP community for 27 years, becoming an integral part of its fabric and leaving an indelible mark on its members.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Keith was well-loved for his vibrant personality. He was a kind soul whose presence brought pleasure and happiness to those around him. His wonderful sense of humor made him a cherished friend and family member, leaving many with cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Whether he was entertaining friends with his drum skills—first developed in high school and continued into his adult years—or engaging with the LARP community, Keith had a unique ability to connect with others and make them feel valued.

Keith is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie Folger, and their son, Zen Brandeth, both of Simpsonville, SC. He is also mourned by his mother, Joanne Folger of Atlanta, GA; his brother, Neal Folger of Tennessee; his dear uncle, Barry Huford; his cousins Whitney Duncan (Corey) of Atlanta, GA; Kyle Hurford (Ashley) of Atlanta, Georgia, his dog, Lucy; and many more cousins and friends who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard B. Folger, as well as his maternal grandparents, Frank and Sara Folger, and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy Hubbard. Though he is deeply missed, the joy he brought into the lives of others remains a testament to the extraordinary person he was.

A celebration of Keith's life will be held at a later date.
