Kevin A. McCoy, a distinguished professional and devoted family man, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family on March 11, 2026. Born on March 1, 1960, in Kenmore, New York, Kevin lived a life marked by commitment, passion, and an enduring love for his family and community.
Kevin’s career was highlighted by a remarkable 30-year tenure with Metromont LLC in Greenville, South Carolina, where his dedication and skill earned him the esteemed honor of Metrostar Employee of the Year. His work ethic and professionalism left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege to work alongside him.
Before his professional accomplishments, Kevin served his country through the BTFM School in the United States Navy, demonstrating a commitment to service and discipline that would characterize much of his adult life.
Outside of his career and military service, Kevin embraced a variety of interests that enriched his life. A passionate hunter, skilled woodworker, and accomplished blacksmith, he found joy and fulfillment in these crafts. His unwavering enthusiasm for the Buffalo Bills, whom he had supported since 1975, was well-known among his friends and family.
Kevin’s personal life was graced by his loving wife of 47 years, Tina Marie McCoy, who stood by him through the years. He was a devoted father to his sons: Zachary (Jessica), Daniel, Kevin John (Chelsea), and Patrick (Autumn). His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Andrew McCoy, Ben McCoy, Ethan McCoy, Daniel Webb, Will Ramos, Chase Brookshire, Anastasia McCoy, Primrose McCoy, and Wylder McCoy, each carrying forward his spirit and values.
He is also survived by his sisters Ann Goodman, Mary Ford, and Pamela Buckley, who have shared in the memories and moments of his life.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Rita Marie McCoy, and his siblings John, James, and Connie McCoy. Their memories are deeply interwoven with Kevin’s own story, forming the foundation of a family rich in love and resilience.
A memorial service to honor Kevin’s life will be held on March 21, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Cremation Society of South Carolina - Brown Funerals, located at 101 E North 2nd Street in Seneca, South Carolina. This gathering will provide an opportunity for friends and family to celebrate his life and share stories of a man who was so deeply cherished.
Kevin A. McCoy’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and community. Though he has departed from this world, his impact remains vibrant in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered with profound respect and affection, his spirit continuing to inspire all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
