Lynn Puckett Myette

September 8, 1960 — November 22, 2025

Seneca

Lynn Puckett Myette passed away on November 22, 2025, after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 39 years Fred Myette, her father Jack Puckett (Lois), sister Kelly Curtis (Russ), two uncles Bill and Gray Hawkins, sister in law Phyllis McGinn, six nieces Kelli Becker, Stacy McGinn, Lauren Freese, Blaire Huerta, Shannon Brown, Michelle Fritzsche, nephew Jackson Curtis and 16 grand nieces and nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Puckett. As an animal lover, Lynn had several pets that she cherished - most recently her beloved cats Cooper & Chessie.

Lynn was born in Gastonia, NC, and later moved to Asheville, NC, where she graduated from UNC-Asheville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. She attended the Seneca Presbyterian Church.

In her earlier years, Lynn was employed in the airline industry in California, and after moving to South Carolina, she was a sales representative for a consumer goods company. Later, she worked for Integrity Builders as a design consultant, helping people who were building new homes - a job she enjoyed immensely.

Lynn had several interests: hiking the mountains of North Carolina and bicycling the trails of the Upstate of South Carolina, playing an occasional round of golf, and attending a book club each month with friends. For many years, she enjoyed delivering to the elderly and homebound food and beverages for Meals on Wheels. Lynn also enjoyed music and during her lifetime was able to attend many concerts of legendary rock and country bands. But her biggest passion was travel. Lynn visited 33 countries around the world and 35 states in the US. Several of these trips were with close friends and family members, of whom she had many fond memories. Lynn enjoyed fine dining, and her extensive travels allowed her to enjoy some of the nation's most iconic restaurants.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Brown’s Funeral Home, 101 East North 2nd Street, Seneca, SC, at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 12, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cottingham House, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672. Checks payable to OMH Foundation. Memo line: Prisma Health Hospice of the Foothills.

I would like to thank our many friends, family members, and neighbors for your kindness, sympathy, love, and support during this very difficult time. The calls, cards, texts, food, flowers, and visits have just been amazing. I would not have been able to get through this without you.

I would also like to thank the incredible men and women of the Hospice of the Foothills and the Prisma Cancer Center of Seneca. These individuals are not really people but angels disguised as people. Their care, support, love, and compassion have provided me comfort as I mourn the loss of Lynn.

Lynn was a very special person who touched many people - she will be greatly missed.
