Marianna Affrunti, born on January 3, 1938, in Ventimiglia, Sicily, passed away peacefully at her home on July 4, 2026. She was 88 years old.

Marianna's life journey began in the picturesque countryside of Sicily, where she was the beloved daughter of Giacomo Varisco and Marianna Anzalone, who preceded her in death. From her earliest years, she was deeply imbued with the values of family, resilience, and kindness that she would carry with her throughout her life.

Marianna married Domenico Affrunti, and together they built a life founded on mutual love, devotion, and strong familial bonds for 55 years. Domenico, her cherished husband, predeceased her, but the legacy they created together endures through the generations.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Rosa Affrunti, who was a source of pride and joy. Marianna took immense pleasure in watching her family grow, and found deep happiness in the presence of her granddaughter, Nancy (Paul) Parcels, and her great-grandsons, Dominic Parcels and Nicholas Parcels. Her dedication to her family remained steadfast throughout her life, and her gentle spirit and unwavering love will continue to be felt in the lives of those she leaves behind.

Marianna’s character was defined by her devotion to family, a warm heart, and a quiet strength that supported those around her through life’s joys and hardships alike. The rich traditions and stories she brought from Ventimiglia served as a foundation for her family and provided a sense of connection to her Sicilian roots.

She will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Marianna’s legacy of love, support, and cherished memories will remain a guiding light for her family as they remember her always.
