Michael L. Creighbaum

Michael L. Creighbaum, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Westminster, South Carolina, on August 6, 2026. He was born on August 18, 1957, in Tippecanoe, Indiana, where his life began in a close-knit family whose values of hard work and loyalty would define him throughout his years.

Michael’s professional life was shaped by a deep commitment to responsibility and service. He dedicated many years as a truck driver for Saylor & Sons trucking in Tippecanoe, Indiana. Through long miles on quiet highways and busy roads alike, Michael provided not only for his family but also built relationships and memories across the communities he served. Those who knew him through his work recall his dependability, his cheerful spirit, and the sense of humor that transformed routine days into memorable ones.

Away from work, Michael was known for his love of the outdoors. Nature was his sanctuary—whether spending tranquil hours fishing at the river, taking long rides on his motorcycle, or admiring classic cars, he found joy in simple pleasures and shared them wholeheartedly with those he loved. His appreciation for the open road and untamed waters became a legacy passed on to his children and grandchildren, who joined him in these passions whenever they could.

Michael leaves behind his devoted wife, Kimberly McCracken Creighbaum, whose partnership and love were a source of joy and strength. He will be missed dearly by his children: daughter Nancy Warren, and sons Jason Creighbaum, Josh Creighbaum, and Ty Burger. He is fondly remembered by his siblings: Ann Haroulakis (Jim), Forrest Creighbaum Jr., Kathy Flory (Duane), and Marvin Creighbaum, all of whom cherished the memories, laughter, and unity they shared as a family. Michael's spirit will continue to live on in his numerous grandchildren, to whom he was both a wise mentor and a source of endless affection.

He is preceded in death by his father, Forrest Creighbaum, and his mother, Irene Creighbaum, whose loving guidance shaped the compassionate man he became.
