In Loving Memory of Michelle Tennant

Michelle Tennant, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, entered the presence of her Savior on August 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was 53 years old.

Born in Columbia, SC Michelle lived a life marked by deep faith in Christ, resilience, and love for others. She shared her journey openly, offering encouragement, authenticity, and hope to those who walked alongside her.

Michelle was the devoted wife of Scott Tennant and the proud mother of Ryan and Levi. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into creating a home filled with love, laughter, and music. Even in seasons of difficulty, she never wavered in loving her children with gentleness and strength, always pointing them to God’s grace.

She loved hiking and traveling to simply “get lost” for a while, soaking in God’s beauty with friends and family. She delighted in the small surprises of discovering hidden places of rest and renewal.

Michelle’s life was filled with gratitude for life’s simple joys—walks with friends, music in the home, puzzles at the table, and time spent in community. She will be remembered for her kindness, her honesty, and her steadfast faith in the unfailing love of God.

She was cherished by many, along with dear friends who became like family. Michelle had a gift for cultivating meaningful relationships, offering comfort and prayer to those in need. Her courage and vulnerability inspired others to walk faithfully. Michelle’s journey was not without hardship, but she faced it with courage, honesty, and prayer. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Scott, their sons Ryan and Levi, and her extended family and countless friends who will carry her memory forward with love.

A celebration of Michelle’s life will be held in the coming months. Once details are available, they will be posted on her Caring Bridge and updated here. Friends and loved ones are invited to join in honoring her legacy of faith, love, and resilience.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Prisma Cancer Research Center in Greenville, SC.
