Robert Anthony McAlister "Monk", 62, of Central, passed away on November 3, 2026. 

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Kathy Jo McAlister, of Central, his three children, Thomas McAlister, Nichole McAlister, both of Central and Adam (Jessie) McAlister of Walhalla. 

He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Addlynn, Jace, Clyde and Lilly, one sister, Susan Evette McAlister, and one brother, Thomas Lawrence McAlister, II. 

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Thomas "Sonny" McAlister and Mae Owens McAlister. 

A celebration of life will be held on November 13th, 2026 at the American Legion in Norris (The Hut)  at 5:00PM.
