Sandy Lee Dolgas (Elston) of Seneca, South Carolina, passed away on November 22, 2025.
She was born in Ithaca, New York, in 1950 and is survived by her husband Dick Dolgas of 43 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Carlton Richard and Reta Elston and stepdaughter Cheri Stevenson.
She is survived by daughters Tina Parlett-Calhoun (Tim) of Scottsville, Virginia, and grandsons Hayden and Harrison, and Kristin Hawley (Keith) of Dallas, Georgia, and granddaughters Alex, Ashlyn, and Alyssa.
She is further survived by stepdaughters Tammy Morrissey (Mark) of Freeport, Maine, granddaughter Hannah, and Michelle Funksouser (Ryan) of Colorado Springs, grandchildren Camden and Rylee, and Cheri’s children Monika and Kyle Stevenson, and great granddaughter Siera.
She was invested in every community she lived in and served as President of the Merchants Association, President of the Hotel and Motel Association, Registrar of Elections, and owned the Sundowner Motel for 19 years. (Atlantic Beach, NC).
Surviving siblings include Rae Elston Harris (Bruce) of Marathon, New York, Linda Elston Dewitt (Wayne) of Jacksonville, Florida, Scott Elston (Amy) of Virgil, New York, and Michael Elston (Pam) of McLean, New York.
Sandy’s legacy of hard work and strong commitment to serving her community will shine on through the work of her children and grandchildren through legal work, engineering, public affairs, teaching, healthcare, marketing, information technology, and beyond.
Cremation Society of SC - Brown Funerals is assisting the family.
