Sara "Pat" Spearman Chambers, of Westminster, SC passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at Cottingham Hospice House.

Born in Westminster on August 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late James Walter Spearman and Josephine Mariah Jones Spearman. Pat was predeceased by her sisters Geraldine Benson and Dorothy Johnson. She was also predeceased by her husband of 76 years, Jack Donald Chambers.

Pat married her high school sweetheart and in 1957 they moved to Florida to raise her family. Pat retired from Allstate Insurance Company after 32 years of service. She was a role model for her children and peers alike in her steadfastness and pursuit of excellence in all she did. She was an accomplished sportswoman from her days on Westminster High School Basketball team to what became her favorite - golf. Her love of artistic endeavors was ever present from sewing most of her and her family's wardrobe to oil painting, ceramics and clay. She loved gardening and taking care of her home.

After retirement Pat enjoyed many travel adventures and cruises with her husband, Jack. Frequent visits "home" led to their move back to her hometown of Westminster.

Survivors include her brother, James Spearman ( Mildred) of Westminster, her children, Donna Lynn Martin (Rick), of Westminster, Jan Zeigler (Gary), of St. Petersburg, FL., Gregory Chambers (Carol), of Valdosta, GA., and Kimberly Merrick (Michael), of Crystal River, FL., her grandchildren, Kristy Simmons (Tony), David Martin (Beth), James Michael Martin, Kelley Martin, Melissa Lazinsky (Matt), Richard Beckert, III (Michelle), Joshua Dampman, Sara Gouge (Kasey), Emily Walz (Misha), Pat had twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

We will miss Pat in this physical world but know that she is still by our side and in our hearts forever.
