Shirley Ann Reed

Shirley Ann Reed, 76, of Central, widow of the late James Reed, passed away on November 24, 2025, at her home.

Born in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Leola "Sis" Roberts Richardson. 

Survivors include her children, Dwayne Reed, Connie (Ben) Taylor, Jamey (Michelle) Reed, Donna (Eddie) Franks, Gina Reed, and Tammatha Reed. She was also predeceased by one daughter, Mellissa Reed. Other survivors include her fourteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, a sister in law, Debra Roberts, and two brothers, Larry Bowen and Verlon Roberts. 

Shirley was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Bowen and Sue Armstrong. Shirley was predeceased by her beloved dog, Snuggles. 

She worked for many years at J.P. Stevens, Clemson Plant, and FEMA, helping people get new homes. She was of the Baptist Faith.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Brown Funerals, 101 East North Second Street, Seneca. 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Brown Funerals. 

The burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery on Wednesday.
