Annie Brown, a native of Seneca, South Carolina, has dedicated over two decades to serving families with empathy and expertise. Since becoming a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 2002, Annie has been driven by a deep compassion for people, ensuring that every family she works with receives the support and sensitivity they need during difficult times.
A proud alumna of Seneca High School, Annie pursued her passion for funeral services at Piedmont Technical College, where she obtained a degree in Mortuary Science. Her educational journey equipped her with the necessary skills and knowledge, but it is her genuine compassion and care that truly define her career.
Beyond her professional commitments, Annie skillfully balances her time between work and family. As a loving mother to two children, she cherishes family time, often enjoying the tranquility and beauty of the outdoors. Annie's favorite pastime is boating and spending leisurely days at the lake, where she finds peace and rejuvenation.
Annie Brown's unique blend of professional dedication and personal warmth has made her a respected and beloved figure in her community. Her career is not just a job but a true calling to offer solace and comfort to those in need.


We are thrilled to spotlight Justin Williams, a dual licensed funeral director at our Seneca location. Born and raised right here in Oconee County, Justin is deeply connected to our community and committed to providing compassionate care.
With both a Bachelor’s degree from Clemson University, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa for exceptional achievement in the sciences and arts, and an Associate in Applied Science from Piedmont Technical College’s Mortuary Funeral Service Program, Justin combines local roots with extensive expertise. He began his career at Mountain View Funeral Home, completing his apprenticeship and acing his State and National Funeral Exams.
Justin's dedication and professionalism make him a wonderful addition to our team, and his local heritage strengthens our community bonds.

Eddie is a resident of Seneca, South Carolina. He moved away in 1990 but came back home at the end of 2017. He has always had a desire to work in the funeral business, and in February of 2024, after the passing of his mother, he began his journey as a Funeral Assistant with Mountain View Funeral Home at the Seneca Chapel where he now continues to serve the local community as an apprentice funeral director with the Cremation Society of South Carolina – Brown Funerals. As a minister, singer, and musician, Eddie not only counts his capacity at Brown Funeral Home as an employment opportunity, but a chance to minister to the families that we serve.
Eddie has six children and two grandchildren with a third on the way.


Meet Kevin Lynch, a multi-talented and dedicated member of our team who brings a harmonious blend of
expertise, creativity, and passion to his role.
**Academic and Professional Journey**
Kevin holds a PhD in Education and Music, a testament to his commitment to lifelong learning and excellence.
This advanced degree not only showcases his dedication to education and music but also fuels his innovative
approach to his work.
**Musical Prodigy**
An accomplished musician, Kevin has been playing the trumpet since the age of 10. His deep love for music
has not only enriched his personal life but also inspires those around him. Whether performing on stage or
sharing his wisdom with others, Kevin’s musical talents shine brightly.
**Community Engagement and Service**
In his professional role, Kevin serves as a Funeral Attendant. He is currently training to become a Certified
Funeral Celebrant, where his empathetic nature and deep understanding of ceremonial traditions will surely
provide comfort and guidance to families in need.
As a member of the Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Kevin is deeply involved in his community.
These affiliations reflect his commitment to service, charity, and leadership, values that he brings to every
aspect of his life and work.
**Unique Passion for History**
Adding a unique twist to his diverse interests, Kevin is also passionate about restoring historic ambulances. This
hobby combines his love for history and mechanics, allowing him to preserve a piece of history and share it with
future generations.

Kaylyn Scott, originally from Lula, Georgia, is a graduate of Piedmont Technical College where she earned her certification in funeral directing and embalming, as well as an Associate in Applied Science in Funeral Service. Kaylyn is incredibly passionate about serving our community and is always looking to grow and learn more to better support our families.


Emily is a student at Piedmont Technical College majoring in Funeral Services. She presently assists Brown Funerals as a Funeral Assistant and is looking forward to completing her apprenticeship and serving the families of our community.


Jimmy Ashton is a longtime resident of Oconee County with a dedicated career in emergency services. He began his service in 2010 at the Seneca Fire Department and, in 2012, transitioned to Oconee County Emergency Services, where he continues to serve as a Fire Engineer.
Outside of work, Jimmy enjoys spending quality time with his wife and four children. A devoted Christian, he finds strength and comfort in his faith, especially when navigating the challenges of his emergency services career. When he's not on duty, you’ll often find him hiking with his family or enjoying a well-earned vacation.


Steve Colbertson brings 21 years of experience in the mortuary business to his role as a funeral attendant. A devoted family man, he is the father of two sons and a proud grandfather to six—with grandchild number seven arriving in April. A nature-loving son of God, Steven calls Six Mile his home and was raised in nearby Easley, SC. His steady presence and deep commitment to compassionate care make him a trusted part of our team.
